Summer has finally arrived in Calgary. Nothing is better on a hot summer day then a lazy float down the river or splashing your feet at your favorite pool. Here is a list of summer destinations in Calgary and surroundings to cool down those scorching hot days ahead!

1. The Paddle Station -Rafting/Kayaking

5227 13 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T3B 1J1

Gather your friends and head over to this hot spot outdoor fun place! The Station lets you rent a variety of different rafts and takes care of the pickup and delivery. You'll still need a vehicle at both ends or have uber on call to take you to your final destination afterwards. The rates are decent and so worth it for the adventurous ride! You would not be the only boat taking off as it's a pass time that has gained lots of popularity here in Calgary.

2. Prince's Island Park

4 St and 1 Ave. SW / 698 Eau Claire Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2P 5N4

The island is such a lovely park and area to walk around in, have a picnic, just relax, spend some time. The park is situated on an island in the middle of the Bow River. This is a great spot to catch the sunset, pass the time, go for a walk, just be in nature.

3. Drumheller Aqua Plex

It's water park fun in the dinosaur capital of the world. Here, the family can enjoy an indoor pool with 6 lanes for all ages to enjoy a fun splash, or workout swim! You can practice those strokes, try something new, or just float your day away under the sun!

4. Stanley Park Outdoor Pool

4100 1a St SW Calgary, Alberta / 4a St SW & Riverdale Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2S 1R8

We love Stanley park location since it has dedicated space for little ones.

This summer, Stanley Park location is open 12:00pm-7:00pm every day. Their last day is Monday, September 3rd.

5. World Waterpark Edmonton West Edmonton Mall

Who doesn't want year round water fun in Alberta! Not only does World Water Park have the world's tallest indoor bungee tower, but it ALSO has the world's largest wave pool too! If that wasn't enough, you can splash the day away with over 17 unique water slides and fun play features, so the entire family will be able to find something they love.
